PROBLEM STATEMENT

Project managers often struggle with managing complex workflows, tracking multiple KPIs, and assessing risk in a way that is both efficient and intuitive. Existing project management tools tend to be cluttered and difficult to navigate, leading to frustration and decreased productivity. Teams require a solution that simplifies these tasks, enabling seamless planning, task execution, and performance tracking. The challenge is to design a tool that allows project managers to easily manage projects from start to finish, with clear, accessible data presentation and an intuitive interface. The goal is to create a user-friendly platform that empowers project managers to stay organized, make quick decisions, and drive productivity without being overwhelmed by complexity.

OUR APPROACH

OUR APPROACH

OUR APPROACH

To address the complexities of project management, we adopted the Design Thinking methodology, starting with empathy through user research and interviews to identify pain points, such as navigating cluttered interfaces and tracking multiple KPIs. We then defined the problem by outlining the need for a simplified tool that would streamline workflows and present key data clearly, allowing for efficient task management and decision-making.

In the ideation phase, we used whiteboarding and brainstorming to generate ideas like simplified Kanban boards and KPI dashboards. Applying the Why-How Laddering approach helped us prioritize features by aligning them with user needs and business goals. We then created low-fidelity wireframes and refined them into high-fidelity visuals, focusing on clean, intuitive design. Usability testing and iterative feedback ensured the final design was both functional and user-friendly, empowering project managers to manage tasks with ease and precision.

CHALLENGES

CHALLENGES

CHALLENGES

The main challenges we faced in the UX approach were understanding the specific project management terminologies and workflows, as each team had unique processes. We also had to design a flexible KPI measurement tool that could accommodate various performance metrics and display them clearly. Additionally, managing backlogs and tasks efficiently on the Kanban board was challenging, as we needed to balance task dependencies and progress tracking while keeping the interface simple and intuitive. Collaborating closely with project management experts helped ensure the design met the needs of diverse users while maintaining clarity and ease of use.
